Not used the Alltec machine but if it's like the old ones i have seen them i dont like the material they are made from i could be wrong and expect someone to tell me, but they look like some kind of fibreglass and i did not think it would stand up to the riggers of day to day use, looks good on the day of purchase but six months down the road

I think the spec and reliabilty is supposed to be good though

Also had some negative dealings with Alltec's service, sometimes they are great like sending me a free sample of ultimate master, and various other bits, but also had a real trial getting a refund on my debit card after i ordered something that was not in stock, which i was told would only take a week or two, well three months later i asked for a refund and it took four seperate phonecalls to get it, also had the problem of being charged three times for delivery on one order they sent out each item seperately although it was ordered all together and one single payment made for delivery, the final straw was a box of styrofoam blocks that must have weighed a few ounces and cost about £5 they charged me over £7.00 to deliver
this was after i had brought to their attention this problem, so i spoke to Robert it did not happen again but i suppose i expected to receive something as a gesture of goodwill
But nothing.

The Airflex i have had for a while now well a month, and i am very happy with it very powerful, robust, and good looking machine plus the service at Cleansmart is excellent had a problem of my own making to do with foaming
but it was sorted quickly with some good advice you do feel that they really care about customer service, lets face it it is good for business and they recognise that, from the nice young lady Sarah who answers the phone to the guy in charge recently i enquired about 2 inch hose and Mat said stick with what you have got for now as you are only working at 50ft he could have easily made some money out of me, most of the guys on here know who you can and cant trust, and some go out of their to make a quick buck, like the company who manufactured my last machine  that was a decent twin vac but everytime it went in you knew something expensive would be wrong with it , in the 15 monthsi had that machine i spent £1600 on servicing :o new to carpet cleaning, what a mug

The most noticeable differences between the two is the Alltec has a heating element that can be run with 2 vacs or off with 3. A help when no hot water is available. I had a similar choice to make last year, I knew I was going to running long hoses and I did not think a 3K element would suffice so went for the Airflex. The Airflex has a drop in hose in the solution tank so auxiliary tanks are easily used without the need for an additional pump. The Alltec is heavier and yes it is a fibreglass body but I still own an Alltec pro-plus now over 10 years old and it does still look good. A quick polish and it shines lovely. Alltec always treated me well but I have not used them since there was a delay on some ultimate master coming in so I switched to DFC. I suspect the machines are very similar performance wise and they are both well engineered. The Airflex is a few quid cheaper so you could add a magma heater, although I have not missed the heat at all.

one thing i cant work out with the altec machine is surely when you are using all three vacs the water temp drops off so the heater beomes a waste of time,  on small jobs i guess no probs.
