cleaning lino floor with srubbing machine
« on: July 15, 2010, 11:08:32 pm »
is it possible to clean lino flooring (may not be lino but something very similar) as we've recently moved into a property with really dirty bathroom floor. it's about 15 years old and shows a lot of dirt but little wear and as it's a rented place have to keep the floor for now.

it may not be lino in bathroom but lino in kitchen which is one big roll of softish flooring. in bathroom it's not as soft floor and also tiles that are stuck down

Lino is now very expensive because it its practically made to order, and the owner would have been careful to tell you about it, If its 15 years old I doubt it . Original lino had disappearred and the newly introduced stuff wasnt about then.  If it is it should it should just be wiped with linseed oil, after cleaning with a mild detergent
Its probably a plastic or a vinyl. If its soft , its a cushionfloor type, machine scrubbing on them is a bit of a pain, as it may damage but also heavy on the wrists because of the shudder
