i just bought a FEDERAL van tyre today . ive a pair on the front of my van i bought a few months back, lasting very well. each one cost me 40 quid, all in

(when i bought my van it already had federals on it,all were almost bald but had worn very evenly, always a good sign )

continental tyres are one the best as you are carrying a lot of weight in van this will affect the life of your tyres

Make sure you buy the 8 ply dediceted van tyres.

My VW came fitted with 6 ply and were more car like tyres built for comfort.

My Trafics with the chunkier tread have done about 18k now and the tread still has about 25% wear left, my vw's were toast after 8k

I've always found Michelin tyres to be hard wearing but not cheap

my tyre man sold me a set with renforced sidewalls. he saw the tanks and said about side to side stress on the tyres. fitted a set on my partner and they did 2 years (20,000 miles)on the fronts and still loads of life on the back

called commercial vehicle tyres, its what vans should have on anyway, but previous owners scrimp and put car tyres on because part worns are £15
