Scratching sills with mono brush?

Is it possible to do this as a customer asked and I said no the brushes wont scratch the UPVc sills.  I don't believe they can but am I right - could they??

Yes, they can and will if you are not careful.
I can remember when waking up stiff in the morning was a good thing.

you really think Ewan? I have a dual trim flocked superlite, You defo think mono are better?

interesting. I am going to be getting a mono at some point as i like the idea of rinsing on glass, either a superlite or a salmon autobrush I think.

The bristles, either mono or flocked will not scratch the sills. The plastic that the brush is made from will leave black scrath marks on the sill if you are not carefull.

Yes if the plastic base of the brush gets knocked about and damaged it can leave a burr which will scratch window sills. I now regularly check mine by rubbing my finger underneath and if I feel any burrs I just smooth them down with some coarse sand paper.

Agree it's not done by the bristles but by the plastic that they are held in.

Only normally happens when the white upvc has gone a off white colour and the brush stock leaves noticable scratches in the top surface of the sill, this is easily removed with upvc solvent cleaner as once the top "grime" layer is removed the scratches are too
