I know many would say that sending monthly newsletters to customers is good marketing but I'm going to put the cat among the pigeons and say 'I dont think so' !
Yes I can see the reaoning behind it ie keeping in contact with customer but my wife agreed that she wouldnt welcome it or read it. Also a number of years ago I put my sister who lives in Chesire in touch with a cleaner in Stockport who I've known for many years to clean carpets. They did the job etc but she did comment that ' they started sending me this stuff every month ' which she really wasnt bothered about .
So I honestly dont think that clients appreciate them !
Leave them a free spotter with your name on it or call them after 6 mths a year whatever , do a great job at a reasonable price , they 'll come back .
Maybe I'm complacent , whats you thoughts ?

every 6 months is iffy, every year is fine, every month and i'd get ready for a court injuction, thats bordering on abuse. :o

as for your sister not liking it, maybe if it had something like, the best place to buy shoes or a good recipe for chocolate cake. she may change her mind. no one like reading about carpet cleaning other than us sad lot. ;D  after all its just a reminder in case theyve lost your number and a nudge if your providing a new service.

yeah newsletters seem odd, especially for small businesses. perhaps if you're very large and offer a wide variety of services then current customers may be interested to know of news about latest deals/new services that they could us. other then that i have no clue what other use they could have.
