Gardiners CL-X poles
« on: June 10, 2010, 03:50:50 pm »
Having a look on gardiners website and the cl-x seem a good price, thinking of ordering an 18ft.

Has anyone had a chance to use one yet and can tell me what they are like?

Thanks

I've got one. Great pole, very light and robust. Good clamps too that can easily be adjusted with your fingers and great price. The circumference of the bottom section is a bit smaller than the X-tel but you will soon get used to it.

The only negative thing is is that it is actually 17' (to be precise it is the same size as the X-tel 17') and you would be wise to have a tube of glue in your van as me and some others have found that the part that the plastic gooseneck screws onto comes out of the pole eventually. not really a problem when it happens, just glue it and stick it back in.

Go for it.
