Problem is..

you pay 20 grand for the franchise still have to buy your own van etc and go out from day one with customers of 0

on there franchise leaflet it says you need around 400 customers before you make decent living from it.

best franchise ive seen is ian lancaster's if i lived near him when i started i would of been tempted myself.
Dave.

I listened to Ians talk on the way he does it at windex a couple of years ago. A lot better way!!

Anyways, you give me £20k, i'll get you 400 custies, fitted van, (nearly new   ;) ), and send you a post card from my holiday in the carribean you paid for   ;D

Ooh and forgot, you monthly fee can pay for the petrol in my new car..lol.

Joking aside, unless you are near Ian, you dont need to pay out loads of money for someone to tell you how to clean a window and market yourself, we will all tell you that for free on here!!!

I had quite a few talks with them a good few month's ago, to be honest I like the look of their website and system, however website is a little bit mixed up, and they don't seem to have a full list of equipment available for sale. I think they buy in poles from other manufacturers, nothing wrong with that either, but it made me wonder.

There are a few other options open to you, where in the country are you based.

Best bit of advice I've seen on here in a long time.

I'd listen to that, he's absolutely right. ;)

I looked at their vans - very very nice. They do the wrap and everything if you are that way inclined. Don't be fooled into thinking the van will pull in the work - it won't, nor would an Ionics one or Brodex etc. That's where your skills come in.

you would have to be a right muppet to buy into a franchise. just spend the money on your own van even if you have to get it pro fitted, its still a lot cheaper than paying £20k to someone to do the same and give you a company name for the priviledge.

all you need to spend is

1. second hand scudo van £2k
2. fitted system partialy d.i.y £2k
3. sign writing max £200
4. leaflets £120 x 5000

saving you a total of about £15k!

if you want to spend any money then maybe employ someone to canvass for you. or save even more money and do it yourself. or maybe buy a round?

No that's Ionics!

The previous owner of the forum was Express Cleaning - they had a Concept20 demonstrator van at the shop in the Malverns. The shop has now gone and the owner of the forum has changed hands I believe. No doubt a Mod could tell you more.

We have an ionics system and a nice new fiat doblo van, cutomers ok how system works, and are impressed by good looking and organised system and proffesionel system and get £30 a house for average 4/5v bedroom houses and are allowed on to a large plc site because of crash tested sstem

The concept2o van wrap & branding is really nice,.. their hot systems are modified caravan heaters (No doubt professionally done & all very well packaged). I'm told their hot systems require a higher than normal flow rate to operate,.. in the region of 3lpm if I remember right.

But as has been said, you can buy your own van & get a factory fitted crash tested (Gardiners) system for a fraction of the cost. Another £2k or so will see a top notch designer putting together branding for your company & a slick new van wrap (Not that I think its necessary), so you can end up with the same result for a fraction of the cost & without any ongoing franchise fee's/territory restrictions etc etc.
