iv recently put a static tank in at the unit and seem to be using a lot of resin and finding it quite expensive to run compared to my ionics system in my first van??

prob goin thru 25kg bag resin every 4-5000litres or so?? the tds isnt extremely high from the tap its prob 190-200ish. im using just one ro unit and one di filter and the pre filters is ther anything i can do to make it last longer or buy cheaper in bulk sumwer??

what does it come out the RO at before going into the DI ?


where do you have a unit? how much do you spend on that or is it like a little lock up?

its on the border of chester/deeside near raf sealand its an industrial lock up and ive got a 30ft portacabin as an office in the yard area not sure what the dimensions are of the unit but its about £375 a month and i got the portacabin that was already there for £250 and just split it into two rooms layed new carpet,put sum posh wallpaper up cladded the ceiling with hollow soffit stuck sum desks n sofas in and it does a sound job gpt phone lines and broadband all setup in there

If you are getting 4/5000 litres of pure per 25kg sack, that would indicate a TDS after the RO of around 100/120.  Clearly something is wrong.  Even if you were using oldish merlin membranes you wouldn't get results that bad.
Is there anything on the system where you can adjust the pure/waste ratio.
What sort of RO do you have?

i have facelift static system i got it second hand and have replaced with the ro membrane with that from a second hand facelift 800litre system, i think il buy a brand new membrane and booster pump

I have not used resin for about 8 months now. As long as the RO takes it down in to single figures you will get a perfect clean

so is it land your renting and stick portacabin on? or is it a building just wondering if your also paying council rates too? seems good price for £375.

yeah its a building mate well its one of them corrugated storage units with roller shutter door thrown up yeh i have to pay bout 80quid a month rates too but only just started payin them the landlord said id only just moved into them!! the guy that had it before sold tv stands etc and used it for storage and worked from the portacabin as his office got really lucky for £250 its got heating phone line and broadband lines already in.its a nice little base a lot cheaper than having a small broom cupboard style office in an enterprise centre, the storage unit must be 12metre by 10 metres approx
