contact bt and ask them to put it on divert,  think u have to pay the line rental plus a divert charge per month, not per call

could you not keep the number then have re-directed to your new number, it means an extra landline rental but if it saves loads of hassle may be worth it, just claim it as business line witht he tax man..

Try Vonage .... VOIP provider ... £5.99 and you can have any area code you want no matter where you are.

I've got an internet phone line... Keep the same number even if I'm in a different country :)

Is it the number you want to keep or just the area code so it seems your in that area ?

If its just the code, then I may be able to help (email in profile)

If your moving i doubt you will get to keep the same number. Try contacting your supplier, but im 99% certain you wont be able to keep it.

The only other way i reckon is this ....

The people who move into your old house may get your number. If you offered to pay for the line, bill and re-direction they may take you up on this.

If the phone provider cant do it and the new owners wont, then im sorry to say you have lost it.

Thats the reason ive had an internet phone line... i will never loose this number even if i move country.
