Why The Big Vacs.....
« on: May 08, 2010, 08:46:08 am »
I'm using an Alto 1.7 kw industrial vac with 10m of 50mm hose.
Empties the gutters a beaut & drops the debris straight into an external sack when the powers off.
Lovely bit o kit & you only need a 3kva jenny.
So why the biggies?

Kevin.

I think after all this dry weather you could probably hoover a gutter out with a car hand held vac  ;D

I think the big vacs come into their own when sucking up sludge. Mine is 3600w and even that can struggle with the sticky stuff.

I know, I'm a "sucker" for stylish stuff!
Only done one job wiv some water. There's a deflector plate inside that sends the water down. No damage anyway. It's supposed to be dry only.

For the sludge jobs I use pressure washer. Quicker & easier on the arms.

I need hoses(15m - 20m) and gutter tools etc for my vac, it has a 38mm port for the hose, but I wouldn't mind converting it to 51mm. It is a 3 motor ISSA vacuum. Anyone know where I can buy online?
