just watched an episode of motorway cops and they pulled over a landrover towing a car trailer (loaded) and if i understood correctly any vehicle towing a trailer in the course of a business with a train weight that exceeds 3.5t then the towing vehicle should have a tachograph. i may have misunderstood and am waiting to be corrected.
