New Porty very soon - Airflex turbo
« on: May 06, 2010, 06:30:43 pm »
Hi Guys,

Right I went for an Airflex Turbo 600 psi.

Reasons

It can be truck mounted and you dont need an extra pump to get the water from the other tanks, simply move the hose into the tanks.

Heard good things and seen it in Action.
Tripple Vac
Good back up and local engineers to where we are based.

Many more reasons but very excited im sure we will get a good return for our investment.

Sounds great, working a porty from the back of the van is such a bonus! I'm sure we'll all look forward to hearing how you get on.... :

Dave let us know how you go with this as thinking of getting one myself end of the year
Did you go for the inline heater also?

Hi Steve,

Yes I will be ordering that in a day or so. The inline heater is around £450 + VAT. Lucky us we get the VAT back.
I will certainly let you know how we get on.

Colin,

I know you have a superb machine, is that strong enough to work out the back of the VAN or not?

Running 2 cables from the van used to p me off when I did it years ago, a tip for the heater would be to put it inline nearer to the house and you'll keep more heat.

Clinton is your man for a van mounted 3 vac machine, he's so lazy he can't be bothered to lift it out or have a hair cut :o

Shaun,

Appreciate the tip for the inline.

The machine wont always be in the van. It will sometimes be near/inside the building if required due to some buildings have a high level security protocol and are not allowed windows or doors open for pipes. Not al custies want us to use LM either.

I run my set up from the Combo now, yes! I can't see why I never started doing it sooner!

That means leaving your van unlocked and back doors open, mmmmmmmmm.
Would only do that round here if I could park on a drive.
I owe I owe so off to work I go.
Will be at it till 8 tonight.

Mine's an ex post van and has a cage partition. And Cornwall's a pretty safe place too with a relatively low crime rate.....
