Can anybody help. I've just been quoted £359 a year for public liabilty ins. to cover £1,000,000. i think this is well OTT. does anybody know where I can get it cheaper?

Keith, I've just had a leaflet in the post from a company called UK Special Risks Ltd (Tel 01634 727766).www.ukspecialrisks.co.uk (http://www.ukspecialrisks.co.uk)

They offer 'Specialist Insurance for Cleaning Contractors', including window cleaning. They say their costs are based on, amongst other things, 'demonstration of compliance with Health & Safety and training systems'

If you give them a call pehaps you can let us know how they compare

 I pay under a hundred quid for mine, the broker is Norman C Williams and Son in Spalding, Lincolnshire. Carlton or Jamie are the partners, both nice down to earth people and very helpful. Can't find the number at the moment but directory enquiries are usually good at that sort of thing!!
