Multi faults lit up on dash 😞
ABS, engine, battery and no working Speedo.
Local garage had it in yesterday. Say there's no communication between ABS and the CAN bus. Assure me it's ok to drive but needs an auto electrical specialist or failing that a main dealer. Anyone here ever had the same issues with either Citroen's or Peugeot's ?

It might be worth disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes then reconnecting it. Sometimes this can reset certain bugs/faults etc. Worth a shot.

Unfortunately this type of thing is common with french vehicles , Peugeot, Renault , Citroen are all the same ,

Thanks. But was the first thing I tried, if only it were that simple.

Yes, i've this exact problem intermittently. Booked mine in mates garage on way there it cleared. They couldn't do anything as there was nothing wrong with it when i got there. Happened again about a fortnight later, this time they where able to hook it up to diagnostics, all sorts of strange faults they couldn't pinpoint it recommended me to take it to ECU/auto tune specialists. I booked it in only for the fault to clear, stayed clear for over 9 months and i now get it intermittently again. I have built in sat nav so i can get my speed off that, but otherwise it does my nut in !!!

Thanks clean clear. Yeah fortunately I've sat nav for Speedo. Hopefully mine will clear on way to an auto electrical specialist on Monday and save me the diagnostics fee 😆 at least I'll know whether it's worth the money to fix or not. From the research I've done seems like it's common for the ABS modules to fail on them although they can be repaired fairly quickly for much less than a new unit.

The problem is if you have to put it in for MOT with any lights on on the dash it’s now a fail so has to be fixed 😬😬😬

Exactly, though fortunately MOT not until December.

Get it fixed just before the MOT just in case it goes again 😂😬😂😬

Big Kahuna did you ever get to the bottom of this and get it fixed ?
-
Yes Clean Clear. It was a faulty ABS module as suspected. I took it to local garage to have a new clutch. They were happy to remove the module whilst van was with them and allow me to post it off to a specialist to rebuild. Was fixed, returned and back on the van within a week. The rebuild and return service was £250 ( plus the local garage labour ) compared to a new module that would have cost at least £900 + vat ( if I'd even been able to find a supplier with stock ).
