Title: repair Airflex pro 250 psi
Post by: Matthew Hepple on July 02, 2020, 07:42:05 pm
hi,

Nightmare. Brought a second hand airflex pro 250 psi. Worked for 3 months well. Kept up with maintainence. But sometimes it just didn't start, the vacuums did but not the pump or fan.
It looked like a loose wire. Fixed an earth issue but now the pump just clicks on starting.
I have plenty of work on now, but struggling to find a decent engineer near Christchurch Dorset.
I think its the electrics and pump.
Is altec any good for repairs? They charge a set amount of £350 plus vat?
Or does anyone know of an engineer locally?

if you got time , put up a few internal pics , hard to diagnose remotely but u never know .    The 250 pump is probably the aquatec ? has it got a demand switch stuck to the front of it ( black thing poking out a bit )   they can fail  ... but can be bypassed to get it going .
Or the click could be a relay issue .

Most things on a porty can be fixed yourself to be fair
