Why change? Stick with Gardiner's.

I'm moving all my poles over to the ova-8

Been trialing one now for 3 months ( 5 but we had furlough ) the guys love the pole they are finding the shape much better in the hand - quality is fab - no signs of wear - great clamps - I like their brushes and jet system + plus I feel the goose necks are better design

Gardeners are excellent but I feel that the ova-8 has just the edge on them

**** I will have 2 maybe 3  slx 25's up for sale next week ****

Facelift phantom hi-mod 25 for me, with gardiner swivel neck and ultimate flocked brush had it 18 months and still brilliant but downside is the price is too heavy considering you don’t get brush with it

Can you use the univalve with those

You can on the phantom and I’m sure you can on most poles if not all of them to be honest

Cheers I'm just doing a price comparison

Ova 8 - yes section 1 is shorter to allow the univalve to sit inside section 2 - the shape doesn't allow it to fit inside section 1

I bought a phantom 18 after always having gardiners.

It's a nice pole, is it any better than the slx 18...i don't think so they are about the same. I'd be happy using either but if I bought another it would be gardiners as they are slightly cheaper and include a brush. I bought mine in the black Friday sale and at that price are better value.

I also brought mine in the Black Friday sale and I think these and gardiners there isn’t much in it although I have to say my hands are no where near as black from carbon deposits than would be from gardiners and I use mine all day 5 days and I also shut windows etc with it and it’s been absolutely fine but if money was an issue then gardiner extreme 25 is the only other one I’d go for I think as  it’s cheaper and get a brush

have you ever used an xtreme pole with a carbon gooseneck and xtreme brush?its a joy to use,its the lightest and most rigid you can go.......esp if you have lots of awkward windows over extensions/connys,3 storey work and skylights to clean(i have)....its also great for cleaning upper and lower windows where there are obstacles in the way(like parked cars!,plants and shrubs!)and you have to clean them at an angle.....

I just think the grass is always greener with poles at the moment,I can’t see life getting any easier than Extreme carbon goose and light brush either.

I waited months for the oval 8 to come out. I was disappointed. Only 17ft and 1 extra section.
Had SLX for years. Had SLX 35 for 3 years, no wear. Had 2 SLX 18 where spinning clamps wore the pole, within 1 year
Then tried Phantom 18. I love it. Clamps are fantastic. They don't get tighter, the closer to closed it gets. Unlike others. The carbon isn't as good as Gardiners SLX. It does the job. Don't get as much carbon on my hands as SLX.
Larger the Phantom, the heavier the comparison gets. Phantom 35 is 2700g.  SLX 35 2150g. Gardiners come with a brush. That's saving £34.
Make a Gardiner pole with Phantom clamps and it would be fantastic
