Not a major expense and people expect a website these days. Adds to your credibility.

Cheap one from studio arts, get next to nothing from it but it is poor if I’m being honest, one thing that i need to improve.

Yes, around 20% from online search, 20% responding to flyers and Van signage the remaining 60% phone in.
I think it’s a great marketing and communication tool but we also use ours to quote and book work.

Yes - I’d say 30% of all enquires come from web or internet search which may not seem a lot but we get a lot of recommendations and ad’s in parish mags.
The good thing is 99% of commercial comes in this way and although ts 30% of all enquires the money value from web enquires is about 90%

Yes I have one.
New inquires coming through web site have been very quite for some time.I don't need the work so haven't updated it.My area is also very competitive with loads of window cleaners with sites so it's very hard to stay up top of page one.

£10 a year.
I made mine on Google sites and it works just fine. If you have a desktop/laptop and aren't a troglodyte you'll manage to knock up a website in a few hours.

Yes but no not much work despite it ranking top 2 or 3 in my area.
My Facebook page on the other hand is where I get all my work these days.
Having a website is good but nothing beats a social media presence.

my new website is costing me a fair whack to be honest. Well over £3000
its still in development but is live if you want to see.

Yes and we get lot's of work from it. I't's well ranked on Google and the current website I've had since 2012. My Web Designer Nathaniel is working on a brand new one for me at the moment which will have a page dedicated to soft wash render cleaning.

I bought mine of Nat , however with all the spam coming through , im wondering if he’ll be able to do an update/refresh it and maybe add one of those ‘i am not a robot’ picture quiz’s to maybe cut a lot out.

I will save you time, you need it, if you are a business owner on the fence to create a website. A nice one. A professional website that catches lead and boosts revenue, which differentiates brands.

I know plenty of window cleaners out there who don't have a website, but they got so much work that they can barely keep up with it. Goes to show that it's more about doing your job well and a bit of networking.
On the contrary, in this day and age, it makes sense to have a website, but don't go down the rabbit hole thinking that it's the magic bullet for gaining more customers.
A website is just your online representation and unless you actively promote it via Google Ads, SEO, Facebook or whatever else, then it won't be much use to you.
