Maybe splashes was a bit of an understatement then... more like full render smears! And I can guarantee dazmonds special sauce could get rid of this, even with that sill brush  ;D

Just plenty of thick fairy 50/50 with water a blade and a damage waiver then  ;D
Or tell the custie to get the builder back and punch his lights out !

Baked on cement splashes in a large quantity I wouldn’t touch for a customer. The only way is to give the glass a good soak with soapy water, and use a Stanley blade to remove, then rinse with the jets, not using the brush. Once the loose stuff is off , then wash with the W FP brush. I did this for a customer last week, but he is also a mate, so wouldn’t make a fuss if the glass got marked. Particularly when the splashes were caused by his own mixer.
I wouldn’t do it for a customer for fear of being made to pay for a new pane if the glass got scratched. Definitely make the builder remove them.

RPCCS pretty much exactly the same mate! it’s a friends house who wanted said splashes removed and like you said soaked and pick off with a blade... just got me thinking hence the post if there something specifically on the market to remove cement...! Obviously not  :)

There are products on the market to remove cement (google them) but they can be nasty stuff, I had one cement remover which had been sitting in my shed for a few years, it melted the container it came in dripped down and put a hole in the concrete floor of the shed.
If I can scrape it off with my fingernail when damp then I will remove it if not then its up to the person who let it dry on the glass to get it off.

Tile cleaner can work well but is also fairly caustic.

I heard some horror story’s few year back... but burning a whole in your floor  :o yeah think I’ll stick to the soak and scrape process

Brick cleaner removes it, but like you say, very acidic, and can damage the glass.

I've tried soaking glass from top to bottom to wet cement then running pure continuously down the glass whilst scraping gently with a razor blade and it still left tiny scrape marks. Minute but obvious if you knew where to look.

Never tried chems so good luck

It depends if it's thick I don't touch it just let the cusomer know this happend to me a few weeks ago ,if you try to remove heavey clumps you run the risk of scratching the glass .

I did a job last year, a building company was digging out a concrete floor after a leaking kerosene tank, when they were pumping in the new concrete the pipe got blocked and exploded, spraying concrete all over the house and surrounding neighbours.

I used this to remove it:

Worked well.

Oh come on Daz. I no longer do build cleans but have done thousands of them over the last 10 years, if there’s one thing I know about in this game it’s scrapers.
