Title: Google My Business

The past few weeks I've been getting emails from Google My Business to say I've been left a review they are just 5 star reviews with no comments. Problem is they aren't from customers we've done work for and the senders are located outside of Europe. Are any of you getting similar reviews regularly? is this some kind  of new scam? and is there a way to stop them and should this be reported to Google?

you should flag the reviews by reporting here - https://support.google.com/business/answer/4596773?hl=en

Then they should contact you and at least you won't be penalised or have your account suspended. Perhaps it's connected to a bigger picture they might already be looking at? I've heard of small businesses being threatened with  spam on their website / GMB unless paid a certain amount. In fact a good friend of mine received one recently so not urban myth and does happen.
