Title: Cleaning Dulux emulsion paint out of car carpet?
Post by: Jack Leeds on September 11, 2019, 01:41:07 pm
So long story short, I brought a car back in November and during our house move in March a brand new tub of sky blue dulux one-coat emulsion spilt onto the carpets and ran underneath the rear seats.

The paint has since dried and gone rock hard in large blobs, probably 5mm thick. Will any of these work to loosen the now rock hard paint?

I would look into getting a replacement carpet ...from a scrap yard or  newwhat ever ... A professional might be able to remove it ...but paint has become soficiated these days and once dry doesn't just dissolved easy .   A pro would try different solvents combined with extraction . I had some luck recently using floor polish  stripper and lots of water extraction . A car would be a tight spot to work on it also ...I'd say replace if possible .
