Title: Pressure Washing Block Paving
Post by: Phil J on July 11, 2019, 07:34:31 am
Hey Lads,
I've got a block paving drive to clean. The problem is it's on a steep incline running onto the road below. I'm just a little worried about the wastewater runoff. Any suggestions on not making too much of a mess?
Thanks, Phil.

The flippant reply is - it's just water !

When the water reaches the road will it go across or stay in the gutter - where is the nearest drain ?

If you need to guide the water use sandbags

Hey Darran,
Thanks for the reply, it's in a cul-de-sac and will run onto the road. I think there's a gutter across the other side so hopefully, we can wash it into that. We sweep up most of the bigger stuff as we go, so fingers crossed.

Sounds like a dream  job to me :D

Just let the water run off into the road and keep all the muck  on driveway scooping up into a bucket along the way ;)

It’s as Darren says, rinse off the rd.

You could have a helper frantically sweeping the water towards the road gutter or try and create a dam with sand to direct the water towards the grass or drive sides.

Sounds perfect, love it when the water drains into the road, keeps it off the driveway. Makes it easier to clean and rinse.

If it’s a cul de sac, even better! Barely any traffic!

Just rinse off the road, and ‘water broom’ it to the nearest drain.
