There is no difference you still come to the same amount.

Depending on the age of the customer, old people like to talk in feet young people who grow up with the metric system use metres

So if you price per sq metre or sq feet at say  £5  and mrs blogs wants their one sq meter / feet entrance hall carpet cleaned you going to do it for £5 , better pricing per job

As Mike says per ft equates to the same as per metre it’s the price the customer is after, I charge per ft but it is variable dependant on ease of job a long hose run will add to the price.

If your SHOUTING about how much to charge , then that's up to you on what you want to earn , hours worked etc

Every person has their own pricing structure based on what i've said above

Forget measuring...

£80 for the first room then half price (£40) for the rest based on an average 3 bed modern semi with moderate soiling and easy access. all phone quotes are subject to a inspection on arrival prior to commencing the work.

You won’t go far wrong with this price structure

We price by the sq yard so much up to 40 sq yards then a discounts kicks in. We have found it to be the best way if you charge per room then you are loosing money if the room is massive.

We now use get booked up as it now does our database surveys and invoices but for a long time we had a program which we designed on excel that served as our survey forms.

Type in the sizes and its worked out the prices.

giving three prices (packages) should cover the different types of customer buying styles.

I don't quote prices over the phone or internet, if I get asked for a quote, I say I need to see the carpet in person before I can give a price.
I charge a minimum amount for up to 20m2, then £x per m2 on top of that, a second room I have a lesser price for, up to 20m2, then the excess if it is greater than 20. A third room onwards just charge a flat rate per room, so the first two rooms are charged by area,I always charge by area for the biggest 2 rooms, then after that its per room, with a 3rd or 4 th room being discounted

How do you clean orientals? I thought that was a specialist job. When I did my training, that’s what I was told.
