Title: Steempro 2000 wiring issue
Post by: DaveyboyC on October 29, 2018, 06:44:36 pm
Evening folks,

I've put a new motor in our machine this evening as the old one appeared to have burnt out, i.e tripping the breakers in the house it was being used in,  put new motor in connected wires back up, then tested it and weirdly, it's still blowing the breakers on the 1 switch, but, and here's the weird bit, only one vacuum switch of the 2 available is blowing the breakers.... but both motors are running on the remaining switch ??

So in a nutshell both vacuums are running on one switch,  any ideas ?

that would be tricky to say without following the route of each motor back to the switch , it be thinking something like a relay is connected inbetween  both and thats died or fryed .  if its a relay you could bypass it as they are not absolutely needed ,but easy to source too .   It could even be something like the switches might be daisy chained abd one had died .  You just have to go through the wiring and eliminate each componant as a sources of the issue .
