Title: 60’ or more pole. What to go for ?
Post by: Richard brown on June 18, 2018, 08:37:13 pm
I’m looking at poles that are over 60 foot. I’m possibly picking up a job which is going to require a huge pole. Any recommendations ?  Or advice greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I use a Gardiner xtreme 47 with 2 extra modular sections which is very useable. Used once a month for high apartment block.

If your needing it for regular work then maybe look into the ultimate pole...

you have to weigh up whether the jobs worth buying a decent high level pole for....

whats the highest level pole you currently have?mines an xtreme 47....id just buy a couple of extra extension sections if it was only needed for one job......

I don’t go 60’ high but if I did I’d be looking at a Gardiner’s Ultimate pole.

You gotta weigh up though how long it’s gonna take to get your money back & how much work you want to do at that height.

We regularly go to working height 66-68ft using  gardiner SL57 plus 1 extension. I wouldn't to go any higher than that. You know its gusting on the ground way after the top has caught it!!

We use rope team to come down any higher than that and pick up the lower floors with the pole.

Been using the SL since 2009  superb bit of kit.

I go to 55’.

Sod any higher, you can’t get any pressure on the brush.

The extreme 47 is the pole to use add 3 hs single extensions, the triple is ok if u just want to do 60'

Depending on the job and wind is how how u can go, but we have a job that requires taking the pole upto 85' using 5 singles and a triple, by adding the triple to the singles causes the pole to dip, this don't happen when using singles alone

Gardiners ultimate is the way to go it’s heavier than an extream but stiffer and less affected by wind we had both but I sold the extream
