Hi to all,
I do apologize for my bad English.
Does anyone know good carpet cleaning course with practice?
I have already attended one but I feel like I did not get enough knowledge.
Maybe because of my bad English.
Actually, when came the time to buy chemicals I got lost-they are so many and nobody explains which is after which and that made me I feel lost.
For example, I do not know how to use defoamer and the Fresheners chemicals too.
I am totally confused.
So I need a good course. Not just to explain the burn test and fiber recognition.
Recently I bought M-power and I do not know how to use it.I was hoping it will be instruction on the label, but no, there is not
one.
Thank you

Daniel The best hands on course would be the solutions course in Cornwall.
Mpower 10ml to 1 lt very hot water , spray liberally and agitate with crb
Extract with plain water after 15 min / 20 min dwell

This highlights a definite need in training, a lot of people walk away from course just confused, it is all theory no practical .
It s a bit like....’ give a man a fish and he eats for a day show him how to fish and he eats from lifetime,’ show a man how to clean a carpet not tell him.
the industry needs a company to step up and create a training ‘home’ that has carpets and train people to go in and clean the carpets.
Daniel where do you live? You would be better going out with a carpet cleaners and seeing the job in action in a real home.

Mike, the course at WOC solutions already does, when i went down they have a room setup with faults, this is for your survey, they have stairs, different carpet types and everyone has to do hands on using different techniques and equipment. the carpets are driven over by forklifts etc when there are no courses being run

Thank you, guys.
I do appreciate your pieces of advice.
According to me, the courses are not designed correctly. It is just theory.
Can you tell me where exactly these courses are?
Somehow I can not find on internet WOC course(which does not ring the bell what WOC means for me )

Mike,
I live in Abingdon near Oxford.
Definitely, I will feel more comfortable is I can see a carpet cleaner in action.
So far I have not seen any around
-
Daniel,
The course i did was at World of Clean down in Cornwall, the tutor was Ken Wainwright. They run courses throughout the year. They will also show you how to use M power

Like most here so far I'd go to solutions in Cornwall . Look at the world of clean website for details. Hands on where you get to use the equipment. Can't be beaten.

dont send him to cornwall , theyl teach him cold water cleaning , and two hour dwell time etc ... and send him away with a single vac spotter and a van full of water with a dash of chemical in it .... it could take him years to unlearn all they teach him .
I see Ashbys have a course called a ' practical ' course .... and they would be closer and have decent equiptment
The likes of russ chadd were once solution posterboys ... now have videos on youtube with enforcers and steamimg wands
-
Thank you for your help guys.
I really appreciate it.
I still hunting for the best practical course.
-
Daniel I’m based in East London / Essex so if you are prepared to travel I can take you for a day out cleaning. Let me know if interested but better ring me on 07530296742.

Bite Emil's hand off. You'll learn a lot and he's a lovely bloke to boot.

Carpet cleaning isn't rocket science and any practical cleaning you do on a course isn't going to cover every scenario you'll come across in the real world. Most of what you need to do right and prevent problems can easily be taught in the classroom. A few samples of problem carpets will help along with good powerpoint presentations or videos. Ongoing support is important as well.

I'm sick of being asked to run a course so I am holding one on 18th April.
-
Are you teaching the course yourself? You need a course up in the north east, the place is full of cowboys ;D
-
Yep doing it myself. I've been doing lot's of one to ones lately as well.
-
Thank you, Emil
I will call you next week.
Благодаря ти Емил.
Ще направя всичко възможно да дойда до Лондон.

Do the NCCA still do courses?
I attended one arround 17years ago and it was really good. (in fact, I think it was the alst course I went on) ;D
-

John, is this a one day course?
-
Yes
-
A days all you need to learn how to clean carpets, not exactly rocket science is it :P
Once you done a day course you can call yourself a ‘fully trained’ professional carpet cleaner ;)
