Does anyone use these foil pads after cleaning carpets to put under furniture legs? Is it important to do this? Which foil pads are best? Please help with some advice....thanks

I do it on all wooden furniture. Squares of bacofoil
-
I never bother , I just make sure I don’t wet under where the feet go.
-
Do you just put square pieces of bacofoil under the legs and ask the client to remove when carpet dry?
Why do you do this? can someone please explain why you need to use the bacofoil?

Just use sticky tabs and poly blocks for larger pieces of furniture.

As Ray says,
Use Stickytabs. after all you are charging a premium price for your services so why shouldn't you supply a service to match.
-
Thanks for the advice - looks like i will be ordering some sticky tabs soon!

Yes as, Jim and Ray above. I use sticky tabs: They (a). Assist you in 'sliding' the larger pieces of furniture (sofas) about if you don't use 'sliders' and (b). They're hardly noticeable, even when you show the custy that they are there and tell them when to remove them. I've been back on repeat cleans and found them still in place from my previous visit...

Thanks for the advice Thomas Wright, I will definitely be ordering some Sticky Tabs next week!

I was always a polystyrene scrounger any time I saw any I would grab it and break it into small pieces to use as furniture tads, I use to love buying a big kitchen appliance as it always was packed in a big frame of polystyrene :D
I stopped buying the sticky tabs as I constantly left the roll in customers homes, so kept a roll of Bacofoil in the back of the van then ripped of a big sheet and took that in the house ( if I took the roll in I would forget that as well :-\ )

Ashbys do 1000 packs of foil tabs for peanuts , got 1000 a couple of years ago and still have some , but i dont use them unless i i feel theres a danger of marking .

We Do Craftex standard size foils. Large foils, Chemspec Plastic Tabs, Sticky tabs, Orange Tabs, White Poly blocks and blue poly blocks. The blocks are for long flat peices of furniture. One in each corner to lift it off the carpet, extra ones in middle if needed.
Plastic tabs x 1000

Would work out a bit expensive , but you can use any waterproof, colourless material. My vote is for a roll of tin foil in the van you can tear it to any shape & length you want. To suit any awkward Piece of furniture
-
Thanks Mike, would you double up the foil when using? and would you wrap it around the base of the legs or just put it flat on the floor?
-
I do us well with squares from bacofoil .
-
Do you double up on the foil or just cut squares out and place them under the feet?
-
That’s the great thing about tin foil you can tear it to suit the job, if you fold it you can use it as a glide as well
Cling film is useful as well

I make my own from cheap underlay. Tools required 1 pair of scissors = 100s of furniture protectors(http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/1518981054_IMG_1807.JPG)
