Title: Will i notice difference - 150 to 200 bar?
Post by: CleanerCarpets on June 29, 2017, 03:10:35 pm
I've got a Lombardini 7.5 HP diesel with 150 bar 14 LPM Interpump.

I've been offered a 9 HP Honda diesel with 200 bar 15 LPM Interpump.

Its at a decent price but a fair bit older - would i notice the step up on the pump?

A 25% increase in pressure and a small increase in flow you will notice a difference. It should be able to run a small FSC and your turbo lance should have a fair bit more kick

but you are making the assumption that they are both working at peak  .performance
When you see Honda run them up at same time, then you will know, personally I would save up for a higher spec machine,

Where are you based and how much do you have to spend? I have some PWers sat In my unit going to waste.

A gx390 electric start with a cat 45 pump, a 10hp diesel with a brand new 15lt 250bar Interpump,

If you are handy with engines I have a 18hp kholer with a big pratisolli pump, I moved the ingnition switch. when I used it the wiring touched the exhaust and burnt it all out.......so needs a knowledgable person to rewire it  and fit a new key start.......worked great until I messed around with the wiring :'(

Hi Mike

I'm in Tamworth - in the Midlands. I went to see the Honda diesel but it was a dog, the guy had bought it used but had never even changed any oils, he didn't even know about the sight glasses - he just took the oil filler cap off, shook the machine and said 'well there is oil in it'! So i declined the machine.

Are those machines you have petrol or diesel?

It's a Sumtum(sp?) a Chinese copy of a Yanmar, its about 5 yrs old but it not been used constantly.  Electric start.

It a great little machine and you've got to think why would I buy a brand new pump off Ben at Rutland pumps and fit it if I wasn't confident it was a decent engine, I was sick of seeing it going to waste so thought I would fit a pump and carry it as a back up, But never did

Just thinking it might not be suitable as it's not on a wheeled trolley it's mounted into a steel frame which I use to sit in the trailer or van connected to a bowser, if you wanted a machine to wheel onto a property this is too heavy to carry about.
