if there is anyone who tried the scheme can you advise if you get any work through them at all?

I tried a free trial and it worked to a point.

My experience was that the system of bidding with a quote (try telling some people it's an estimate) made it difficult to get the best price.  I'm sure it would work for some but didn't suit me so I didn't sign up to the paid service.

I imagine it is like Facebook etc etc.  Build your presence and get lots & lots of reviews on the site and if you work at it the results would start to come in.

I use them plus other services. You can use the lite service which means you only pay for jobs your interested in and not pay a membership fee but leads cost more. 
One tip is ALWAYS ring the customer so you make that contact with them, don't just e-mail them and hope for the best.
