How about a private area or non public part, where carpet and window cleaners can warn each other of bad customers etc, and google and said customers will not pick it up... maybe a part where you have to sign in again to see and add comments.....

Hi Hector,

We have been recently discussing this - CIU is closed off to the general public are organic listings for this exact reason. Mnay of our advertisers would prefer CU to be open to the whole public and organic listing but we have to protect our members and their businesses first and foremost. In the early days (10 yrs ago) I believe some of the topics were made public but since then all is private within the passworded CIU.

so in theory we would be alright to name and shame blagging custards and non payers etc..??

Hmmmm that's your choice i'm not sure listing names etc would be the best way forward here, unless a customer signs up as a member they wouldn't be able to access these details though that's correct.
