Hi VGC
I think that most window cleaners have come across this problem,
1, Try to collect the money when you clean the windows,
2 ,Try to sort out a place they could leave the money, under a plant pot or something.
3, Leave a sae and get them to send a cheque ,
4 Tell them you are now only cleaning the windows of the houses that can pay you when you have finished
5 Every new customer you get tell them you will clean the windows if you get paid as soon as you have finished, then get rid of a call back
Hopefully one of these could work for you

Hi VGC
I see you have got a website. I have just put Nochex on my site so customers can pay on line and its working a treat. But even before that i never used to do collecting. I just pushed a card through the door asking them to send me a cheque. ;)

I do exactly the same as John. Do they have to go and collect their wages from their bosses house if they want to be paid. ::)

Without me looking at old posts how does it work do you have to pay them x amount a month, or x amount per payment

Hi Matt
I have only had it on my site for a few days and had four payments so far but i will let you know when i have been using it a bit longer. I think about 80% of my customers have a pc so it should be usefull.

Hi Steve,

What are the charges for using NOCHEX? Is it more than say, a cheque?

Hi Steve
Its 1% or 99p minimum charge but i prefer that to running around chasing people and using Diesel ;)

Sorry Steve
That is only when you transfer to your bank account. So you just  transfer a few at a time and its 1% charges ;)

Just about died when I read your first post  :o 99p per customer!

99p per transfer or 1% is actually quite reasonable. Might try that when I get my website going  8)

just looked the site and it all seems fine...i dont know alot about this sort of thing but is it similer ti paypal because i have heard of that :)

i think i might to this for my customers:

Due to a MASSIVE increase in workload collections are becoming increaingly difficult. So could you please find it  in your hearts ;D to do one of the following:

1/ send a cheque/postal order made out to .... ....
2/Phone me to arrange a pick up piont for your money..ie Plant pot window sill or maybe the local shop
3/send online using paypal/norchex!
4/Place you money straight in our bank accoujt....ac no.09-09-09 098765

|PLease email or phone to tell which method(if any ) you would like to use#

otherwise i will look foward to seeing you on thursay or friday beetween 5 and 8

thanks

Hello Guy's

I've been using PayPal on my collection slips. Works pretty well with the younger customers and proffesionals. I supose the good thing also is that they get a reciept so there is no argy-bargy that they did not pay etc.

Charges: withdrawing for your account is free for withdrwing £50 or more and 25p for £49.99 or less.

Hope this is of some help.

Mikey
