Hi Andy

Most small 'commercial' contracts don't actually have a contract you simply agree a specification, the number of staff and hours and invoice on a monthly basis. There are standard formats for quoting which helps present all the costs in a logical way (eg labour costs, materials and equipment, insurance, management charge and profit etc) but where a larger job actually needs a contract it's usually provided by the client.

Let me know if you want a copy of a costing sheet

Regards

Mike

Mike,

I thought more than twice about asking, because you've been really generous with this to everyone.  But I think my head will explode if I don't see your sheet, cos I'm betting it's a lot better than mine.

If you get a spare sec, I'd be really grateful if you could send me a copy.

Thanks

Hi Mike,
I have just started in contract cleaning. If you don't mind could you please send me your costing sheet?
If so, send it to: jhcleaningservices@mail.com

Many Thanks,
Jon

Regards

Mike

Commercial contract work is far from secure, it is a cut throat industry, you can build a business based on current income then next year customers cancel contracts and you find yourself having to down size, cut back, make staff redundant etc it is not easy!
Contracts are not required to be written by a solicitor, a simple set of agreed terms is really all you need, plenty of template ideas available online, but don't get to hung up on it - just note the agreed price, what they get for the price and any notice to terminate.

Lol all theses so called cleaning firms that cannot even sort out a form absolutely laughable , can you do rams ?. And site specific quotes ?? I doubt it , if you cannot sort out a simple form how on earth do you think you are going to get a contract with a decent size firm .
