does anyone know where i can get the containers to transport my water in,the only ones i can get at the mo are from camping shops at £12 atime holding 25 litres. does anywhere do bigger ones ?

You can get 25 litre drums for £5 or £6 from many w/c suppliers.
But if you go bigger they are heavy to carry when full - remember, with water 1 litre = 1kg.

Looked on your profile for your location, im from nottingham  25 litre containers used but washed out are 50 p each as many as you like if you live out this way anywhere i can get the address for you

brett walker cheers mate im from london, can you still use them when their washed out or will there still be traces of the old liquid thus contaminating pure water ?

I f you take the TDS reading of your normal tap water, and wash them out till the reading is the containers is the same, Then they should be ok, Shoudn't they? Dai

yes, thats right

i had old barrels from the paint powder they use on football pitches

just keep on washing them out till then are clean

My mate has some that he got cheap from the local chippie and they've had used chip oil in them. he uses them for pure water with no probs.

  most warehouses that run electric fork lifts will have 25l barrels that have had DI water in them for topping up the batteries, just ask!

I know the chap that sales the IBC's he comes in my unit as I sell pure water to him ;D, not sure if he comes on here thou
