why we got ionics at top of page?? ???

I don't want to state the bleeding obvious here but they pay for the advertising on a window cleaning forum.
No fan of Ionics but wouldn't you do the same thing?
And...
now you've started a discussion on the subject which will be music to their ears.

I never buy from seeing a banner.  The price of advertising is put onto the cost of the goods.

I buy from the guys I see that get recommended on this forum and follow the great advice along with avoiding the ones with bad posts.

- Hence what this forum should be about.  Following expert tips and avoiding making the same mistakes.

But you get good and bad reviews of things on this forum. Who do you follow then?

Gosh,

I assume you have no advertising of your own, e.g. van signwriting, or uniform, or leaflets, or flyers, or a business card.  If you do, your customers will be justified in not buying from you, as the price of advertising is put onto the cost of your service.

Ah but don't you pick up work fom word of mouth because of good rep? Rather than relying on adverts alone

Now who's of the topic.  You clearly don't see the point. If you cannot get work from word of mouth and adverts only then something wrong with quality.

Here's the thing - for me.

I don't discount a window cleaning supplier/manufacturer due to size or advertising. It depends on the balance between my perceived view of the quality of their goods, service and value.

For me - a turnkey system is not necessary because I have this and another forum; advice from other local w/c's who were starting wfp about the same time as I did and facilities to make adjustments, repairs etc. undercover.

Just because Ionics are "the biggest" doesn't sway me one jot. But if when my SLX poles need replacing I find that Ionics do a better alternative then I would buy one. However - if the poles were about the same then the aftersales service of my present supplier (direct emails as guidance and answers from the owner to what are pretty petty queries) would swing it easily.

Spot on gold.

And why reading others feedback on here is so important when making an important purchase

Brodex, SLX and, E-tel Tried them out i just didn't like them. My pole's don't stick i never get black hands. I have 4ft&18ft Multi Pole, 45ft Ergolitet(E2) Glyder 28ft and I'm about replace the Ergolite with a swift 45ft, and as i have picked up more commercial work the swift 65ft. I'm not knocking other poles or system, but it all works for me.
