What would you use to clean grease marks from Bushed Stainless Steel?

You want a product called faced oil. Spray lightly over the stainless steel and wipe down in one direction. You should be able to get this from and suupliers

Solutions actually do a really good stainless steel cleaner, its expensive but goes a long way.

Clean first with a de graser, multi surface kitchen cleaner and a clean cloth, then use use a dry clean cloth and put a small amount of baby oil rub in one direction and leave it. doing it this way will make it very easy to clean next time.

personally I would give whatever it is a good clean with good old washing up liquid and water, then window and glass cleaner buffs up chrome, stainless, brushed stainess etc etc really well!
Mr Muscle Window and glass cleaner is my fave!!
Course it does all depend on how bad the grease marks are!!

Phil, don't you find stuff cleaned with baby oil tends to attract dust, fluff, hair etc!!
Now we are talking domestic here, but a customer of mine bought a brushed stainless American Style fridge/freezer yonks ago and was advised to use baby oil to clean! When I first visited her, the thing was covered in hair (mostly cat), fluff and bits!
I advised that we would clean it up and use the window and glass cleaner.........it came up lovely and has stayed lovely!

We took over a cleaning contract a couple of months ago from a company that had cleaned the stainless steel lift with baby oil. It was a complete mess. It was covered in fluff, dust and fingermarks and took weeks to get it all off. I know some people do use baby oil on stainless and like the result, but it is a magnet for anything thats 'flying' around because its so sticky afterwards.

Got to say i agree with Jan K.
Whenever i get stainless steel ovens, and believe me there are loads, i always degrease and finish with "clear" and a micro fibre cloth. looks great and the customer is always impressed, lovely jubbly.

There is nothing wrong with using oil on stainless steel it just matters that you know what you are doing!
Stainless is a metal that needs to be nourished now again just like wood and oil is great for this. On some contracts we use the spray oil used for cooking on brushed steel lifts on others we use glass & stainless cleaner on fridges and dishwashers, they all look great.
The trick with the oil is use it sparingly and ensure there is not a film sitting on the surface, when you apply to brushed steel remember to go with the grain. Think about the surface you are attending to - is it likely to be touched alot?
As previously said before use washing up liquid to remove any build up before reapplying anything but ensure it is well diluted. Use common sense and you will be fine.

Yes thats right Foxy. it does the steel good and probably prolongs its life. we dont use it all the time we use a spray oil based stainless steel cleaner. if you list what jobs that make the biggest impact with the customer the stainless steel sits in my top 3 along with Bathrooms and floors.

i agree with the bathrooms and floors bit.............always the first thing they notice if not cleaned properly ;D
