Title: SASH WINDOWS LEFT OPEN - WFP JOBS
Post by: Matthew JN on April 23, 2010, 12:07:06 am
Hi all,

One of the major problems i encounter with WFP residential work is customers who leave Sash windows open.  If it is the top section thats open then that is usually ok as you can use the brush head to push it back up and close it...... but here's the main problem.....

If a customer leaves to bottom section open it needs to be pulled down to close it.  Has anyone devised a method for doing this ???? or made a bespoke piece of kit to do it  ????

Now that warmer weather is here this becomes more annoying as more customers leave sash windows open.  The only way round it i can think of is notifying any customer with Sash windowsthe day before asking to make sure they are all closed.

I have been looking at modifying a brush head with some suction cups so you could pull a sash window closed.... anyone else have any ideas ??????

I always telephone the night before so most of my customers close their windows. those that don't then I clean as much of the glass as possible without flooding the house with water.

If it is a problem I think I would be calling them also.

Nothing worse than losing money whilst out trying to earn it.

be very carefull with old sash windows, the glass is very thin ,

very easy to put to much pressure on and slip whilst attempting to pull closed.
