Title: Does all used resin go dark

When i first started purifying water the resin that came with my kit was gold and when it was used it turned very dark brown. I purchased some cedelite 40/60 which I now use in my Di vessel but when tds reading changes from 00 to 1, the resin is still the same gold colour. Is this normal or should used resin be dark brown. I hope I’ve explained this properly

mine goes darker, i ge tmine from gardiners,  but i seem to lose some when it is in the vessel,  if you know what i mean
