If i was to take on employees, I would pay around about £7 per hour + BONUS. Rewards for hard work,
i would probably also have a deduction system aswell, where if they lost a job, due to poor work etc.. then there'd be wage docks ;D
-
It would be better to get a load of Eastern Europeans working for you for 2 pound an hour, give them accomodation in your garage, and they will work harder than your typical British worker.
If they don't work hard enough, dock their wages until the do ;D ;D ;D
-
You pay yours??? Thats your first mistake right there!! ;) :)
-
Have thought about employing EU workers but think it would put a lot of our customers off using our services

you cannot do that, its illegal

Thats a decent wage in any job up in stoke employed.
£90 a day for 9 hrs + holiday pay.
does this really happen?
-
when i come to employ i will be looking at paying around £8 an hour
-
I have a college student who works saturdays and some hoildays and I pay her £10 per hour.
I do have a turnover of over £60 per hour when she doea work so it's cost effective.
-
the full badness is you will have to pay another 11% of their wages to the treasury plus holiday pay.
-
I used to pay guys 40 quid an hour, but if they didn't do 20 houses an hour, I'd sack'em ;D

She must be a good cleaner and she certainly deserves it then,
If shes only doin a few hrs though youve escaped the dreaded employers contributions.
You'd be reassesing your hourly wage if she was full time mate.

im employing a bit early iv just had a contract drawn up for my lad but im only paying £7 per hour to begin with so that i can leave him while i go n build the business i will definately reconsider his wages when i can financially afford too, i think if you find cleaning windows hard and boring and repetitive and most of us earn 20-30quid an hour then there certainly going to get fed up with it earning any less than £7. id love to pay him more as hes a really hard worker
-
theyre all talking s..t
window cleaning is the worst paid job in the world and anyone who says they pay more than 7 quid per hr is a bull s....er and the are doing it to make themselves feel good about theyre own misgivings
yes.... if you work for yourself, you can earn a good living, but it is a lifestyle business, so DONT KID YOURSELF
some of you on here make me cringe......you admit to earning an absolute fortune, but hey........you aint never going to be a millionaire....unless you win the lotto
so wobble your heads and wind your necks in....... and go to work on sundays....jokers
controversial, or what?
-
pay my two guys £100.00 a day , we work as a three man team currently , but will soon be vputting another van on the road so they will be on a 50-50 split then regards alan

9.50 is minimum wage for cleaners in Ireland,... thats what my girls get for daily cleaning in schools. Anything outside that I try to get them 20 an hour.

About £8.20 and £17I guess. Too lazy to look it up on xe.com

I pay £10+ per hour. Plus I do all the ladder work, driving, pay petrol, collecting etc. What a nice chappy I am !!
The more you pay, the better and faster the worker you get (within reason !)

pricework only everyone is lazy and cant be trusted

pricework only everyone is lazy and cant be trusted
my dad employed all his staff on piece work or pricework, is it still legal to do that now.
-
My brother works for me from time to time... He uses his own van and equipment... I pay him 65% of a days turnover.
