Title: Per sq/mtr prices needed asap!!
Post by: Nathanael Jones on April 20, 2010, 07:14:40 pm: I've just been asked to quote a chain of large retail stores for pressure washing work. Most of it is straight forward, but they want chewing gum removal done. I've no experience with this so I'm going to sub it out. The quote has to be in by tomorrow though, so I need a per sq/mtr price that will cover subbing costs + a bit of profit. Anyone able to help me with a ballpark figure?
Its removal from interlocked blocked paving (no re-sanding or sealing required) in the south of Ireland.

If you could also give me an idea of sq/mtr prices for standard washing of block paving & walls it'd be great as my normal prices seem very high when applied to such a large contract (There's 30 stores and I've counted approx 1200 sq/mtrs per store, though not all stores will require every area cleaned) & I'm unsure how much to discount them by.

The quote is 90% complete,.. just need a price for chewing gum removal,... pls?!!

Post by: Richy L on April 21, 2010, 03:22:58 pm: You need a pressure washing company with a hot washer. That way the pressure washing and chewing gum removal can be done in one go. is there anyone local to you? I'd do them for you, but it'll cost ya quite a bit!

I've added my little bit of profit & put in the quote,.... :)

7.50 x 1,200 = 9,000

9,000 x 30 stores = 270,000 Euros!

Post by: Richy L on April 21, 2010, 07:02:00 pm: I think that might be a bit high concidering the amount of work. It all depends on how much chewing gum there is too. I assume that price includes jet washing it all and washing it down too.
