Took our new SL-56 out for a spin today. Only did some 2nd floor windows with it but blimey, what a thing! So light, absolutely amazing! Got a bigger job with it on Thursday then 50'+ in the first week of May. Should be fun!
(Had to take down the pic sorry)

Ken - they are fun ! - really easy to use as well,
are you velco ing the pipe ? - i found that took the most time, now i wrap around pole and hold it ( upto 3 storeys ) or simply let it hang staight down - so far i've only needed to use 7 sections and can still lift it with ease!

Hi lads.
I know you say they are light, and that's great, but how strong are they???
I fish a lot with a pole but would never dream of converting it to a wfp - how does the strength of the two compare?
I'd hate to part with £700 only to find the sections chipping or snapping every time I use it.
Your advice is welcome ;D

Simple, it's not a fishing pole. They are actually very strong, remarkably so.

Treat with respect & used as it's meant to be following gardiners instruction & they are very strong. You can't just throw it around though like a telescopic. Above 30ft it's the only pole for me now.
If it helps, cleaning at 50ft with an sl2 is as easy as 25ft with an slx! ;)
Personally, I couldn't use one for domestic though, too much faffing about with sections & not enough minor length adjustment.

Ken why is the picture gone ? ???

Very strong indeed - i use it for 3+ storeys - and velux windows in roofs
so far no cracks splits or breakages - the only chips are the leading edge where they fit together but this is very minor
if you leave the pipe loose it's surprising quick to put together and take apart, having said that i would not want to use it more than 3 or four times a day on domestic work
normally it's 1 or 2 larger places where time etc.. is not as critical
