Title: After a new van
Post by: Dean Taberner on April 17, 2010, 09:08:01 am
The combo van which I had for sale is no more,

Its been written off by one of my employees and the insurance have valued it at £2500. Im just waiting for the cheque to arrive.

Its not the end of the world as nobody was killed or hurt and I was after £2500 for it with the system in it. This way I still get £2500 and keep the system.

Im willing to put abit to the £2500 so can anyone recommend a decent van for under £3500??

Thanks in advance,

Dean

Hi Dean

still looking for that van

I cant believe you didnt have that van of me, i spent about about £600 on new tyres & 2 new batteries, serviced all the poles & evrything. Now you,re looking again. The poles were worth more than £500 & a full 2 man professional system.

Cheers

Gary

Transit connect do a crew van option, factory fitted.
I think it's been available since 2007, so may be out of budget.
But don't be tempted by aftermarket seats, they are not that good.
The factory version is also fitted with 3 rear seat belts.

Hi Gary,

The problem at the time was I couldnt justify spending £4000 on a 2nd van until I had sold mine,

It had been on here for some time and I had no firm offers except from your friend who offered £1500 + a car which wasnt what I was after.

Ive only got myself, 1 full time employee and a lad you is less than part time so having 2 vans decent vans wouldnt have been practicable at all cost wise.

Now that the combo is no more and the insurance are paying up my situation has changed.

The reason why I didn't are clearly stated above gav ;)

Also gary had to have the van sold by the 31st of march so it couldn't have happened unfortunatley.

Plus how it worked out, if I hadve bought it, it would have been written off now in stead of the combo so idve most probably been way down with a garage full of wfp stuff and 2500 for a 54 plate scudo.

The mental damage to my head wouldve been irrepairable!
