My shurflo pump decided to stop working this morning, I had just set up outside a pub and turned on my system and nothing :(
I have checked the pressure switch and that is fine just the pump is not working. I have managed to borrow one from my brother for now but have been looking around for a good price as I am still building up my round and need every penny I can get. I have found some for under £50 on ebay called propump, I was wondering if anyone has used these before and if they are any good?

i had this happen to me the other week, couldnt get it working, tried a new pump and it worked so bought a new pump, a week later the new pumped packed in, once i fully charged my battery it worked again, so ended up with a pump as spare, all because i never had enough charge in the battery

I thought about that but I even had the van running and the split charger was putting in 13.6 volts

Make sure this propump doodah has enough psi, at least 50 for solo more like 100 if you run 2 poles.

It's a 100psi, here is the link http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140372645093&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Hi mate.
Please, open your old pump firstly and clean the membrane. I wont be surprised, if your pump did not work simply because of the dust inside.
As for the Propump - it is Chinese brand. We use and sale them, but not a lot. No any complaints yet, but it is not SHURflo, Flojet or Aquatec, indeed.
I am really hope that your pump will work. Good luck.

Vadim

Thanks for the advice! I have taken it apart and found the commutator was really dusty and gummed up between each plate. I have cleaned all this out and it now works again. I will refit it in the van over the weekend and test it out on Monday

Nice to hear, friend. Its, indeed, very difficult to destroy the membrane types of the pumps.
All the best,
Vadim
