Title: Rectus 21 fittings
Post by: Smudger on April 14, 2010, 09:20:56 pm
HI Guys,

Sorry to put up a boring thread, but just need a straightforward answer about these fitting...

when disconnected does the female fitting automatically stop the water flow ??  or will a tap be required.

cheers

They are stop ends (for air originally).

it does but i would use a tap aswell cos when you reconnect it spits at you.

i dont mind it spitting - i use a remote to turn the water on/off but my pump is quite old and unless i use a decent stop or tap it drips and overnight i lose about 20 ltrs which goes all over the van.

i'm fed up with the plastic hoselock type getting damaged as they get dragged around

Darren,

Make sure you get the proper "rectus 21" fittings as the cheaper one's don't last 5 minutes.
