Just had a quote from Quinn insurance for PL cover for just window cleaning cleaning wfp up to 40ft and was 945euro...how does that sound to you guys in ireland i havent a clue really if its about right or wrong?

I'm not in Ireland, but if that is just for Public Liability it seems extremely high the PL part of my insurance works out at about £250

Yeah just from reading other posts about PL and how much people paid it does seem quite high but maybe thats what it is here i dont know, would really like maybe is someone based in ireland could advise

Try frost insurance in Limerick. Its normally around €600 for 6.5 million cover,.. and Guild members get a bit of a discount too,... :)

I use Quinn insurance and I got my Employee Liability and public liability for £780 and that is for upto 5 employees

would you really want to go with Quinn insurance at the moment, what with all the financial problems?!

try frost insurance in Galway they say they will beat any price in Éire with same cover etc ;)

I'm not surprised. With quotes that high they probably didn't have any customers.

quin insurance is out of administration the guy quin himself has a lot of business here he practically owns a large town here he simply took money from his insurance business to help his other concrete and building business ,

i just renewed mine through allied in wigan for £167 which was through quin direct the day they went into administration so allied changed it to hiscox with the same cover this price was for to equal partners both public liability and products cover liability up to 1 million working to a height of 25 metres
it covers us both for anything we are cleaning on a ladder or wfp with an excess of £250
