Hi All,
What extra cost or percentage do you add on for a Builders clean.
with hopefully retaining the site on a monthly contract

Work out a regular cleaning price then times it by at least 4.

For a street of £12.50 houses I charged £150 each..................
...................it wasn't nearly enough.

Having done many builders cleans over the years my opinion is JUST SAY NO!!! So much hassle,, for any money its not worth it.

Was offered one today by the builder who had been renovating a largish shop: My reply?
"No thanks."
Him: "I'll pay well".
My reply: No thanks".

you clearly earn to much money to say no thanks, or are happy not earning more.
I earn what I'm happy to earn and don't need the hassle of builders cleans.
If it's all the same to you I'm delighted to leave BCs to people more hungry for money.

i was labouring on a pizza hut last year and the people they had in to do a builders clean, said it would take 3 dasy with 5 people, took them 1 day just to do a toilet and a kitchen, i think they had a contract to do them all, so might of worked out good for them in the end

I won't touch builders cleans anymore unless it leads to a really good regular job worth bothering with.
Same as I never bother doing 'one off's' as I prefer to chase regular work in that time. Cleaned a house today and next neighbour (right) asked if I would clean hers today and every 6 weeks so I said a big yes. Neighbour on the left asked for a one off and I replied sorry, only take on regular customers as I have a full round. ;D

Hi we did our first Builders Clean last year, When we was asked to price the job inside and out there was no obstructions in the way, But when it came to cleaning the windows especialy the inside there was a lot of things put in the way of cleaning the windows >:( ... Not to mention that they asked for No ladders but the WFP was not up to getting of all the glue and stickers off that was on the window.....
It was a first for us and it will be our last ;D
