Title: would this be anything like a pile brush??

Ebay item number  4397093960 is some sort of rubber brush i was looking for peoples views on this as a pile brush ?

I've never seen a rubber pile brush ( they are usually nylon bristles), and it may be too hard, but if its a soft rubber it could be ideal ( Although, I wouldn't want to be the one who tries it on an expensive wool carpet ::) ). And at that price you can't go far wrong.
