HAS THE TOPIC SAYS DOES ANY ONE KNOW HOW TO CLEAN THEM??
-
Yes
Plenty of scrubbing and loads of rinsing.
Regular cleaning is the key.
If you are unsure of the results, just wash the glass and not the frames.
-
how badly tarnished are they ronnie, most powder coating should come clean with a mild detergent and a soft brush if using TFR then use it well diluted as the surface can be easily damaged with a strong alkaline cleaner do not use anything acidic on the surface and if you decide to use a pressure washer to rinse afterwards then only use it at a low pressure of about 1000 psi

not seen yet but its not on windows i think its actually fasca around industrial buildings, is there some thing that can restore it from dull to back to new???
-
ronnie, ? have you got to go back or had complaint?
-
Scrubbedy scrub scrub, Allow the "milky water" to stop running and then go back and do the glass. Charge well.

Quicker to repaint some of them if they are too bad.
A few of my custies hardly have any paint left on their old frames, suggested they repaint the frames and recommended a good painter.
-
I have clean some by just cleaning and rinse a lot till water runs of clean then sprayed on a car sealer shampoo mixed in water and rinsed off again this seamed to seal the white powder ,as the next time it did not come off at al.

Don`t know about anyone else, but I find it`s the powder coated
Frames that I get more `spotting`with as opposed to say upvc
Frames.I`m like Jeff Brimble,I don`t do frames normally unless
I`m asked to.Someone once said as I recall,it`s something to do
With the residue under the seals that keep `whicking in`no matter
How much rinsing ya do.
I do quite a few commercial accounts whereby the frames never
Come up as I`d like.there`s always that 2 to 3 inches or so down
The side where there`s some `spotting`.Get it occasionally in the
Middle of the window also.Anyone else get this ?

you will find most powder coating is dull even when new but you can make it shine by using a car polish on it, if i was you i would spray from base upward using a 5% mixture of TFR leave to dwell for 5 minutes then rinse off with your WFP do a test patch and explain to client that is how it will look if he isnt happy and wants a shine then treat the test area with car polish, give him two prices one just to clean and the other to polish, there is another polish you could use called PERMANON this can be spray applied and then just rinsed of with your WFP it works brilliantly on cars but i havnt tried it on powder coating but if it works it would save a lot of time.
