Title: marks on wallpaper
Post by: michelle warren on August 05, 2005, 07:56:58 pm
Does anyone know a good method for cleaning marks off wallpaper. The wallpaper has scuff marks and varnish on it, and whilst the latter is probably impossible to clean off the scuff marks might be a bit easier. Cost isn't a problem, as the marks are in a showhome so the house builder would prefer cleaning to redecorating, as the wallpaper is patterned and difficult to match. Any advice would be appreciated.

Michelle,

Get yourself a sponge eraser made by`Duzzit`, basically its a white coloured sponge which you dampen with water and is used a lot in the restoration cleaning industry!

go to www.151.co.uk

let us know how you got on!

Be very careful using these sponge erasure things, I used one to clean a painted wall and it left very bad streak marks. Luckily for me the customer told me to use it, so I wasn't held responsible.

Hi Pristine

Try universal foam clean by 'Saber'. spray it on, leave for a few seconds and dry it off, this should remove the scuff marks. Dont use it on embossed paper though.
