hi there,

first of all you need to decide what sector of the cleaning industry you want to enter, commercial, contract, domestic, daily office, carpets, windows, high access, specialist, builders, these are just a few to get you started thinking.

my advice work that bit out first, determine the market place and then resource up accordingly.

get one thing right first, rather than getting it all wrong later.

regards

martin

I found that the inland revenue and a local business advice centre provided valuable (free) help. Be very wary of anyone who tries to charge you for their advice!! It's worth doing the groundwork first, it may seem exciting to "get started", but there is a lot to do before you even consider your first customer. I've been running a domestic cleaning company for 2 years (and i learn something new most days!!) and i expanded into commercial a few months ago. If you have any detailled queries send me an email and i'll try to help.

Amazon

Do a search for Cleaning Books.

They will not give you experience but might point you in correct direction

Apologies, a little late reply but I haven't looked at this ste for ages. I have been running a domestic company for nearly a year and found a useful e book on e bay, search for domestic cleaning. It was £3 but gave me a lot of food for thought. I could or probably would have come up with the ideas myself but always useful to get it condensed.

My first recommendation would be to decide what you want to do: domestic or commercial then a cleaning company or "agency"?

Good luck
Lynne

hi henrya

yellow pages would be a good place to look.....our local enterprise agency advertises in it, and you may come across other relevant bodies that you may not have considered applying to for info and grants
