can i use bitumen water proof paint instead of protectakote, as i think protectakote is over priced for what it is
-
I would say yes mate..
I used Thompsons Roof Seal from B and Q (about £20 a tin) and its been fine..
But I would also recommend putting some rubber matting on top (£15 B and Q) approx 2 by 1 metre . This prevents excessive wear from lifting stuff in and out of the van.
One tin is plenty for any van smaller than a Tranny.
Hope that helps..

cheers, i already got a rubber floor, but with weather been nice thought i would paint the van to moz then can leave it to dry all day in the sun lol,
-
go for it then ! ;D but do a couple of coats

i used underseal on my last van then stuck a rubber mat in the floor was still good when i sold it. it stays a bit sticky though

A "decent" floor paint will get the job done - Its worked for me in my last 5 vans (floor and sides)- the stuff they use on factory floors - Dont buy the cheap stuff you will regret it!
