How do you get a good web presence with your web site

Can someone point me in the right direction...

I reckon (and i'm no expert) the easiest way is to google for a windowcleaner in your particular area. Top of the list will be  someone like touch local or yell .com etc. Get your ad on there with your web link and let them do the work of staying at the top.
